A blog, by any other name...

A friend once told me that I have interesting things to say. Thought-provoking things to say. And sometimes things that just piss people off. While I will most definitely do all of those things here, that is, in fact, not the main point of this blog.

Eight years ago I conceived a story idea, which I believed to be a masterpiece at the time. Now I've been writing fiction since I was seven, and have wanted to make a career out of it for almost as long, so it was certainly within the realm of my ambitions to have written said story. However, in all my reckless naivety I was wise enough to realize that at eighteen years old (and on more drugs than most people try in a lifetime) I would not be able to do the story justice. So I wrote an outline for my older self, since I knew by then I'd have forgotten most of the plot, and now -almost nine years later- I'm going to write it.

Now since most people have no idea what goes into novel-writing (there's no REAL WORLD: Steven King), and it really is an interesting process, I would like to share it with you. Plus it'd be cool to get public feedback as I'm writing. I guess I can't give away any of the major plot twists or anything, but I'll do what I can.

So what can you expect from "The Satire and The Sage"? Sex, drugs, writing, rock and roll, politics, and whatever else I can say to provoke thought and -hopefully- piss you off.
